Pulse Clinic - Invoices to Payments | Healthcare Admin Dashboard
Billing screens from Pulse Clinic, a clinic management system I designed and built end to end for small practices: product design in Figma, the design system, and the shipped web app. This shot is the money side, Invoices and Payments, as an administrator uses it.
A front desk that takes cash, card, bank transfers and insurance settlements all day, and a manager who needs to trust the totals without recounting. The constraints were clinical rather than cosmetic. Colour is reserved for meaning, so the interface stays near black on white and the only tints on screen are statuses, always a dot plus a word, never colour alone. Money is set in a monospaced face because a balance is compared digit by digit. And a refund is never netted into a method total, so the cash drawer reconciles.
31 invoices issued this month, 85% collected, $318.50 overdue. A jump to Payments, where 41 payments make $2,340.50, with one $45.00 refund shown separately. Then a card payment of $89.00 lands against a patient's open invoice and every figure updates at once: 42 payments, $2,429.50 taken, Card at 30 payments and $1,773.00, Net at $2,384.50. Nothing is typed twice. Totals are generated columns and a trigger, so the browser only ever shows a preview of what the database already knows.
