Overview
BITEG is a professional training platform offering seminars and courses for public-sector professionals. While the platform worked functionally, an outdated UI, dense navigation, and weak visual hierarchy caused friction during seminar discovery and sign-up.
I was asked to identify the main usability blockers and propose high-impact improvements that could realistically be implemented with minimal development effort.
The Challenge
Users needed to find and book seminars quickly
Navigation and content structure created cognitive overload
Seminar listings were hard to scan
UI patterns were inconsistent, hurting trust and credibility
Design time was strictly limited → every change had to matter
UX Audit Insights
Through a heuristic audit and user feedback, three core issues emerged:
Navigation & IA Too many equal-weight options, no clear primary path.
Visual Hierarchy Key information (dates, price, format) was buried and hard to scan.
UI Consistency Buttons, typography, and spacing varied across pages, reducing clarity and trust.
Design Focus
We deliberately focused on high-leverage areas only:
Homepage Clear value proposition, simplified layout, one dominant primary CTA.
Seminar Discovery & Cards Scannable card design with strong hierarchy and clear actions.
UI System Basics Simplified color palette, unified typography, standardized buttons and form elements.
Deliverables
UX audit with prioritized findings
Redesign concepts for homepage and seminar listings
Mini style guide (colors, typography, UI components)
Clickable Figma prototype for key flows
Outcome
The proposal was well received by stakeholders:
Clearer structure and modernized look
Stronger credibility for corporate and public-sector audiences
Concrete, implementation-ready recommendations
The client has started rolling out the changes in phases, beginning with the homepage and seminar listings.
Expected impact includes higher engagement, faster orientation, and improved seminar sign-ups.
Key Takeaway
Focused UX decisions beat large redesigns. By targeting the moments that matter most, the platform gained clarity, consistency, and a scalable foundation. Within strict time and budget constraints.
