About this Service
News & Journalism Website Design
I design editorial websites specifically for newsrooms, independent media, digital newspapers, magazines, investigative journalism platforms, and long-form publications.
A journalism website has to do more than look good. It needs to handle large volumes of constantly changing information while helping readers immediately understand what matters, what is new, where to go next, and how to stay engaged with longer stories.
My approach combines editorial design principles with UI/UX thinking. I build clear systems for headlines, breaking stories, categories, featured reporting, opinion, long-form articles, multimedia, archives, search, related stories, author pages, and other recurring content without turning the interface into a crowded feed.
Particular attention is given to the reading experience: typography, line length, hierarchy, spacing, image scale, navigation, article rhythm, and the relationship between primary and secondary information. The goal is to make dense journalism feel structured and comfortable to explore across both desktop and mobile.
The service can include:
Homepage and editorial landing pages
Article and long-form reading templates
News categories and topic pages
Search, filtering, and archive systems
Author and contributor pages
Multimedia and photo-story layouts
Newsletter, membership, or subscription interfaces
Responsive desktop and mobile design
Reusable editorial components and design systems
Developer-ready Figma files
I work particularly well with independent journalism, cultural publications, public-interest media, research platforms, and content-heavy organizations that need a strong editorial identity without sacrificing usability.
The result is not simply a website filled with articles, but a digital publishing system designed to help readers discover, understand, and return to the journalism.
